Advantages of Simple Step ABA social skills program

What is theory of mind?

 Theory of Mind (ToM) refers to the ability to understand and predict other people's minds, emotions, thoughts, intentions, and beliefs. It plays an important role in developing and improving interpersonal relationships, social interaction, communication, problem solving, emotional regulation, and empathy.

* Imitation: The ability to imitate the actions of others

* Recognition: Recognize emotions, express them verbally, distinguish and recognize emotional clues from others

* Eye tracking: The ability to follow other people’s gaze and understand their intentions.

* Perspective: Accept that others may think and feel differently than you.

* Predicting: Ability to infer from presented situational information

* Social questions: Ability to ask questions to obtain social information

* Behavior matching: Ability to recognize whether a behavior is appropriate for the situation or not
